American and European countries are increasing pressure on Iran, economically and diplomatically, and threatening for military operation inside Iran.

defense analyst are in opinion that proposed American invasion of Iran could be disastrous for America and the world. Though, America is powerful and well-equipped in weaponry and have clear advantage over Iran but Iran have other powerful weapons which could put in trouble American and world’s economy, business and trade.

Iran could use his support in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon and other Arab states to target American Army, and also Pakistani jihadist element who were active in Pakistani tribal areas could be directed toward American forces again, on Iran’s spiritual leaders call. Hisbullah could open a war against Israel.

In case of American attack on Iran, the concept that America is hunting Islamist and Muslims people instead of Terrorist, could gain popularity across the world and this will were harmful for America and American whose business are spread around the world.

Though Iran is threatening Iran and Iran is replying with same kind of threats, a kind of wrangle between two countries, but the question is How Iran can harm American interest and do they have resources and means to implement threats??

The answer to this question is very much Yes, Iranian Know that they are unable to win in traditional battlefield against America but they are very much confident that they can use there geographical location and resources for there defence. Iran could cut world oil supply, this could result in enormous rise in price of oil and oil shortage will stop the business, there will stock market crashes, back panics, economic crisis all over the world. On the other hand, Israel could start a new battle front with Lebanon or several Arab states who provide support to Iran.

One of the biggest threat to America and Israel, which is resisting them to start military action is Israel security, They know that there atomic plants and military bases are well within Iran’s ballistic missiles.

Knowing these consequences, Bush administration will never launch attack on Iran but as world is Ready for a big election stunt, Everything is possible.

Pakistani political scene is just like amazing circus, though the CHANGE is a new slogan in American election campaign but it has a long history in Pakistan politics.

During the election campaign og Fatima Jinnah, sister of founder of Pakistan, Islamist and religious parties where advocating the participation of women in politics but when Benazir Bhutto jumped in politics after zia’s death, whose same people stood against women participation in politics.

Religious and islamist parties in Pakistan always blackmailed Pakistani people in the name of religion, just like they did in election 2002, and result was 17 amendment, which prolonged the dictatorship in the country.

Another example of change in Pakistan politics is when Benazir Started dialogs with musharraf, religious parties and other parties were against it, but they were unaware of Benazir vision and leadership which forced a dictator to remove uniform.

Now that Pakistanis rejected the Religious parties on there Hippocratic behaviors and few left in national assembly, several other member of previous government are switching sides, such as sheikh Rashid and also several retired Generals. These people fees sorry about there support to dictatorship.

Some people say that this is part of political lifestyle of Pakistan politics and every other democratic country but in my opinion, changing point of views and switching side between is nothing but LottaCracy.

Hussain Huqqani-From Hero to zero

Pakistan’s new ambassador to America mr.Hussain Huqqani in his recent interview with ‘Kashif Abbasi’of ”ARY ONE WORLD” has said that Pakistan cannot stop the U.S bombings in its area because we don’t have the technology .what an absurd answer.suppose,if we accept this nonsense idea then question arises why not u.s attack or dare to attack Iran?.is Iran powerful country than us?.can Iran target b-52 palns flying at 60,000 km above ground?.

Hussain Huqqani before his designation as ambassador ,teached several years in u.s universities and recently he used to come in intellectual programmes of various urdu channels of Pakistan.His views were quite rational and he had a common Pakistani approach;but God knows what pills he got from Americans that he completely took a u-turn in his views and made himself even bigger supporter of u.s war on terror than our retired cursed general Pervez Musharraf.One can understand the plight of Musharraf ;being a military man and taking power through a coup;but what about Huqqani.a true patriotic , a professor teaching in American universities,and moreover,a civilian,its quite hard to understand the suden drift of mind in Huqqani case.

Mr.Huqqani’s behaviour was also too rude with Pakistani Journalists the other day and also with ‘Kashif Abbasi’ as well. Mr. Huqqani must not get fooled by just sitting in Washington but he should remember the end result of Musharraf and his allied ‘Q’league if he also carried on befooling Pakistanis.

Unprecedented increase in supreme court judges

The Parliament has increased the strength of supreme court judges  strength  from 17 to 29 through finance bill.For some it is  astonishing and for others its  dreadfully dangerous.

It is a matter of common concern  that since  supreme court  is the supreme  constitutional  body of this country  and such a large supreme court  is bound to remain divided on all  constitutional issued  and the  the unanimous decision  on any issue  will be next to impossible.

We have always criticized  our judiciary  for giving  dictators  a walk-over  with constitution but one feels deeply shocked  at this increase  and the result this amendment  will bear.

It is a principle all over the world  that  supreme court judges  strength should be kept as low as possible due to the fear of clash   in the process of decision making and even a country like  India has 24 member supreme court. Read more

Combatting Terrorism : Pakistan defense budget should be increased or decreased??

Pakistan defense Budget has been presented in national assembly for debate, and few people are criticizing it, they think that Pakistan army is angel and they should allowed to use nations resources unchecked. They think that only Pakistan army can save Pakistan. They forget army’s role in division of Pakistan.

Contrary to this, Pakistan present government and every citizen of Pakistan can sense danger of America’s operation in Pakistani tribal areas, or afghan invasion as afghan president threated to do so. In these circumstances, Pakistan should increase it defense budget but again, increasing the defence budget is not the solution for a country who is facing severe shortage of food and Power.

Because ammunition is not effective weapon against extremism and terrorism, to prove this, one can take example of  ace agreement between local taliban and Newly elected government of NWFP which result in sufficient decrease in suicide bombing inside Pakistan.

Terrorism and extremism can only be controlled by education and development of the region, not by carpet bombing, not by military operations.Those who believe that war is ultimate solution should know that Pakistan army is not even capable to fight local taliban and this clearly proved in Swat operation which was conducted before elections. How Pakistan army will fight against American army??

By these arguments I want to say that new government should decrease the defense budget instead of increasing, cause war is not a solution and Tax payer money should be spend for constructive and for development project, not on feeding White elephant.

Last  6 years have seen tremendous  boost in our electronic media but let us reexamine what it has achieved over last 6 years.

our media badly need some Senior voices ,voices like ‘Larry King’,'Wolf Blitzer’,O’Reilly.Any channel is distinguished by  some senior voices .Our media don’t have such voices at all but the introduction of ”Dr.Shahid Masood” has indeed  given some credibility  and some literary touch as well.
In the past people like ‘Mustansar Hussain Tarar’,'Ashfaq Ahmed’,and ‘Amjad Islam Amjad’ have hosted number of educational and informative pro grammes but this boom of news media has indeed shadowed  these brilliant personalities and writers.

Amidst this scenario,the arrival of Dr.Shahid Masood  has indeed made our media alive.His  pro grammes are  informative and his  style is  alluring.One feels he does a lot of research  for his pro grammes and his behavior is very  humanistic and natural and close to the general public.
