Unprecedented increase in supreme court judges

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

The Parliament has increased the strength of supreme court judges  strength  from 17 to 29 through finance bill. For some it is  astonishing and for others its  dreadfully dangerous.

It is a matter of common concern  that since  supreme court  is the supreme  constitutional  body of this country  and such a large supreme court  is bound to remain divided on all  constitutional issued  and the  the unanimous decision  on any issue  will be next to impossible.

We have always criticized  our judiciary  for giving  dictators  a walk-over  with constitution but one feels deeply shocked  at this increase  and the result this amendment  will bear.

It is a principle all over the world  that  supreme court judges  strength should be kept as low as possible due to the fear of clash   in the process of decision making and even a country like  India has 24 member supreme court. (more…)

For Sher Afghan and Arbab Rahim

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

If power make someone Proud and they loose there sense, and they start to attack the national heroes such as Benazir and chief Justice, then people of Pakistan do justice with them, just like they did with Arbab Rahim and Sher Afghan.

Many people are condemning this violent incidence which is OK but they should keep in mind that this was attacks on there lives, people dont want to kill them, this was people reaction and they did just to humiliation of those who supported dictator and betrayed there leaders. also it was for the politicians who got power after election 2008, in a sense that:

“Be right, do well, don’t Support Dictator or be ready for Shoes and such humiliation”

Its up to new government how they interpret the public massage…
