Fazal-ur-Rehman Biography

Prominent Representative of Islamic Parties in Pakistani politics, Always demanded Islamic laws but could not implement when his party got power in NWFP. Founder member of MMA which played a vital role in Election 2002.

Fazal-ur-rehman is son of mufti mehmood, fazal-ur-rehman is president of jamiat ulema-i- islam. he served as opposition leader in previous national assembly of 2002.

Fazal-ur-Rehman, like his father, has always remain strong opponent of Muslim League. Fazal-ur-Rehman always remained in the camp of alliances and parties that were opposed to Nawaz Sharif and other liberal political powers.

Fazl party won 6 seats in National Assembly in Feb 18, 2008 Elections .Fazl ur Rahman lost his seat from his home town Dera Ismail Khan. Fazl-ul-rehman figure has deeply been criticized in Pakistan politics due to his pro establishment stance.

In 2008 Elections, his party only got 3 seats which was a shock for him, but he decided to join hands with collation government. He had great influence on Taliban but now he is searching refuge from Taliban, his old friends. Why? mostly because of his bit Hippocratic behavior and campaigning on the name of Islam.
