if the election in pakistan held fair than pakistan peoples party will win with majority,PML N will be second party in parliment. Where PML Q concern they will get not more than 30 seats.

  2. Ch.Qasim Majeed on February 6th, 2008 7:37 pm

If pervaiz elahi become pm of pakistan tahn this country will destroyed. I advised to pervaiz elahi before you give salogan to peoples parh lika punjab you and ch shujat try to learn and speak

If the election will be fair than PML(N)will do clean Sweap.PML(Q)will get only 10 seats.

  5. waqas ahmad on February 8th, 2008 2:28 pm

i am hope that PML(N)will get the majority in elections INSHALLAH.because Nawaz Sharif is only the leader who is popular in four provinces of pakistan united. after Benazir Bhutto he is only option availuble to us.

  6. F. Farooqui on February 8th, 2008 3:39 pm

    Ch Sahib,
I dont agree with your opinion. I think Q League will win and a good leader will become the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Pakistan is going through some tough times and it needs a good direction. I think Ms Bhuttos party has shown in past that it is the most corrupt party / in Pakistan. Mr 90% is planning on becoming the Prime Minister. I think it would not be a good idea to give them another chance. I do believe that had it been someone else from PPP, I think it might not have been that bad a deal, but with this gentleman (90%) I dont think PPP stands a chance. Pakistani People diserve better direction then PPP.
Mian Sahib, will need I say anything about him. Yellow cab to dollar freezing, to holding personal grudges against Ms Bhutto. Favours for Salim Saifullah and Anwar Saifullah. I dont think he should be the prime Minister. I personally liked Ms Bhutto and Mian SAhib when they came to power but all great expectations were torn down by these fellow Pakistanis.
    Regards
    Farooqui

i think after the assasination of benazir bhutto the only credible party in pakistan in Pakistam Muslim League(N). Mr.nawaz sharif is the last hope for pakistanies.his stance upon the deposed judiciary and on pervaiz musharraf is very clear.he wants to reinstate judges and to try musharraf under art 6 of constitution related to the abrogation of constitution.art 6 narrated that th eperson abrogated the constitution will be an offender of high treason. i wish mushrraf and company should be tried under this.

  8. Ikhlaq Ahmed on February 11th, 2008 3:43 pm

i think whatsoever part win but at least PML(Q) should not win because its winning is very harmful for the solidarity and unity of pakistan.i hope that inshahAllah PML(N) and PPP will gets majority of seats and will make a strong govt by choosing a prime minister from PPP and president from PML(N)which i think Niwaz Sharif is the most suitable as he is not contesting election.may Allah change my hope to reality on 18 feb.

  9. Aamir Malik on February 12th, 2008 1:45 pm

i think elections will not fair and free. The main reason of this is that if elections will held free than PML(N) sweeps in punjab, specially uppper punjab and PPPP take seat in south Punjab and in sindh. But the need of the time is Nawaz Sharif.Because he is only the most recognized leader internationally.what do u think…….

  10. Aftab on February 13th, 2008 2:54 am

PPP is definitely to going to win, if the elections are fair and free (which I doubt it).

  11. Ateeq Akhtar on February 13th, 2008 11:59 am

We can never expect fair elections in Pakistan. It’s been 60 years that we got independence, and out of 60 years, Army has ruled for almost 31 years (direct & indirect) and that makes almost 52 %. No one has realized value of an independent country and all politicians has so far failed to fulfill public’s requirements. These politicians goes to public on Pajeros and Land cruisers for vote begging, and after winning elections, they use same vehicle for throwing dust on voters faces!.

Pakistan’s 70% of population lives in rural areas where feudal lords system has very strong roots, and voters there are forced to vote for people they are working for. Reason being they are uneducated, don’t have decision power, are under huge debts from feudal lords etc etc. On the other hand, 30% of population lives in metropolitan cities and most of them don’t bother to vote as they are aware of the consequences now.

So friends, we cannot expect fair elections. Elections are monitored and doctored by intelligence agencies and it’s up to them to decide fate of our country. No wonder, if intelligence agencies want, they can get Imran Khan a land sliding victory and request him to be next premier (ONLY IF THEY WANT TO DO SO).!!!!!!!

  12. Naveed Abbass on February 13th, 2008 12:54 pm

i want Q leage will lost this election and i want Ameen Faheem as Prime Minister Not Zardari. and I Pray for Sheikh Rasheed will be lost with big Margen. INSHAALLAH. NAVEED ABBASS. RWAWALPINDI

  13. tahir nawaz on February 13th, 2008 5:04 pm

hello,i think PML(N)clean sweaps every think,if the result of elction will be fair, beacause PML(Q)don,t have any base and becuase of the dangerous situation created in pakisatan, that is moral of present GOVERMENT is nomore high, these are such reasons that,s why PML(N)takes more seats.

  15. AM on February 13th, 2008 7:25 pm

MQM will sweep from karachi & hydrabad, PPP will not get any sympathy votes, beacuse they have a proven corrupted leader Mr 10% Zardari.
Nawaz League well they became a ‘B’ team of PPP.
Vote for MQM only they can turn the pakistan into a developed & moderate country.

  16. Aftab on February 13th, 2008 10:39 pm

PPP is definitely going to win if the elections are fair. Both Q-league and N-league have served the dictators i.e. Gen. Zia and Gen. Pervez and now both parties are claiming to be the champions of democracy. All these politicians (Chaudary, Sharif, Zardari) are liars and extremely Corrupt. I hope by some miracle Amin Fahim can become Prime Minister and later kick out Zardari from the party, I am sick and tired of all these politicians.

  17. NASIR IQBAL on February 14th, 2008 10:13 am

To my understanding PPP will get more seats then PML (N) as far as Punjab is concerned PML (N) position is stronger than PPP, while PML(Q)has no future at all though i have no sympathy for any political party because they are all corrupt.

  18. umair tahir on February 14th, 2008 10:58 am

i support nawaz sharif,he is very good leader.qatil league is not a party.they are only .
i think mushrif is a very crule.he is not doing well.he is not a leader.i hate mushrif.inshallah nawaz sharif will win.
all the lotas go to hell.

ppp will win the elections if elections are held free and fair throughout the country.

  21. Malik on February 14th, 2008 12:41 pm

I think this review is good
    PPPP 75
    PMLQ 55
    PMLn 40
    MQM 25
Because if you c the most of the PML N big guns are now in PML Q. and they all were the power of PML N and now PML N has less power so lets c and 2nd think i can c a Civil War in Pakistan right after elction day and right after eleciton night.

It seems that many here are in illusion that PML(N) would sweep. I do not know why the hell people think that PML(N)would sweep? I think that if electin would be fair than PML(N) Party of corrupts, liars and crooks would do worse then 2002 election when they got 18 seats. This time I believe that PML(N) would be lucky to get more than 7 seats, because people today know that PML(N) is party of corrupts, liars, and crooks and no one could trust them.

In my view the pakistn political process which in my view also a poitical correctness, is one of the temparary transation period, which the political length is too short and the out standing socio-cultural as well as economic libilities are too heigh. Therefore the retention, muturity, and saturation of political process is quite under; a heavely question mark for the future development is too heigh.

I am sure that PPP will win apx 80 seats of NA ,and the future govt will be the mixture of PPP+MQM+PMLN ,The murder of Benazir Bhutto is the biggest unfairness of the history.PMLQ will win some seat in central punjab .and the pmlq will be on third position if Election will be fair and free.

  34. S.M Yaseen on February 16th, 2008 1:48 pm

I dont agree with all of you , it sham full for us that we are a country of over 160 million people and still we dont have a single good leader who could lead us towards a prosperous pakistan , why do we allways find our self in the same condition that we always run from in the past , after election we always say that we are not going to vote for this person next time but we do the same .
now who is going to rule us ?
it’s the same old leader who ruled us since we were given the so called fredonm, the father of all politicians —–USA—— , Why? coz all our leaders spend alot of money to get the seat and once they got it they want there money back but multipled by 10000 .
think ! Nawaz sharif what he didnt do karz utaro mulk swaro sceam , mills , unpaid loans, do you think that shahbaz sharif thought of him self as less than a king in his ear NOOO he was the man of all in punjab in the days of his brother goverment .
benzair we all simpathise with her , Why? coz she is dead , but what she didnt do to lout this country ? what didnt she say to destroy this country ?, her husband no to tell you about him.
MQM , wow , they are the best people to rule the country that why there leader lives in london and dont even know about the tempreture in pakistan ,
amin fahim isnt he the same fudel lord that we have been ruled by from the start .
Q league . think that if they win this time then pakistan will be called juttistan , all other will excuted or exported to india , and wheat and rice price will be 100 rs per kg and cooking oil will 1000 per kg and may be we will not need any food any more.

is ther any body left know

so i think the one who will be in favour of the US will win and all the loosers will do there best to pleas the us more so that they can be sure they will be next .

in this way the dream of pakistanies of getting good leader will be shatters once more

  35. Fayyaz Memon on February 16th, 2008 3:44 pm

  38. Sohaib on February 16th, 2008 9:42 pm

All possible pre-election rigging has been done by the regime. All those who made or worked for PML (Q) have been inducted in caretaker set-up. Courts are filled with third rated men, while real judges are imprisoned. Chairman Senate (known Q legue supporter) is acting PM. Election Commission is not less than joke. Police and civil administration is still controlled by previous ministers, Q league nazims and hidden hands. Army is deployed to stop if anyone create law and order while protesting over rigging. Amist these actions and happening on ground, President Musharaf say that he will hold clean, free and fair election.
I think despite overt retoric by “neutral” president and elimination of BB, the PPP is wining. Unfortunately, this will not be acceptable to people who have enjoyed power for eight long years illegimately. There will be rigging as planned, change of loyalities will be caused and attempts will be made to break-up the winning party. Resultantly, there will be protests quickly suppressed by use of force. Incidents like 12 May 2007 of karachi will revist us. But the restless masses will continue to cause problems posing serious economics harships. In the process the cost of “one man’s desire to retain power” will be hard to bear and country will keep visiting by one political crises or the other. After greate losses, some wise men will act senseable and in order to save Pakistan, the nation will be offered “free and fair” election again. How long we all take to decide this will actually determine the cost every Pakistan will be paying in terms of non-development, price hike and unfornately in form of human lives.

  39. Rashid on February 17th, 2008 3:40 am

I think PML (N) will win more seats then any other party , Second will be PPP, nawaz sharif is very popular leader and in the past few months he had shown great character and he is playing his cards well ,also he belongs to PUNJAB and PUNJAB is like his home town , CH brothers cant win 30 seats in a fair elections
ANP will win in NWFP or we will have a Combine Govt in NWFP with PML N and ANP or PPP and ANP ,say bye bye to MULLAS , Karachi ,hayderabad will go to MQM and interior sindh will go to PPP , beside that PPP will give taugh time to PML N in Punjab and all over Pakistan

Till the time that Benazir was alive, PPP was the right choice for restoration of democracy. Now it’s reign have gone into the most notorious person of the country and most hated person for the last two decades.

On the other hand, the other major party PML(N) has also shortened its stature by becoming 2IC to PPP and losing its own identity.

So it’s very wisely advisable that all provinces should vote mainly for the regional parties who could be held accountable for any wrong doings and to whom approach of the concerned people be possible, also that a coalition government is established with no party being a completely dominant one.

May Allah bless this country with peace, sincerety and true democracy (Ameen)

PML-Q is not CHOR LEAGUE its the party of some complexed people with no aim ONLY is to loot-maar , i dun think PML-Q is involved in the murder of BB , they dun have those guts , plus who is this low-profile model name Moonis Elahi in lahore for PP-152 ? He should modeled for some ad in Jam-e-Shireen or Rooh Afzah Sharbat. Why loosers who really look loosers are given tickets , where are the educated ones ? I think that PML-Q will win at least about 182 seats(even though i support PPP it cannot be helped) I ,as i said am a strong PPP supporter, and i believe that PPP has a chance of winning these elections if these elections are fair, which i doubt they are going to be.

  67. Azhar Javed on February 18th, 2008 12:57 pm

Well i think PPPP will win the election and Ameen Fheem will be the prime minister.PPPP deserves for win.

  68. M. Shahid on February 18th, 2008 1:26 pm

S M Yaseens, comments are right on the button. It is true that all the leaders of all the main parties are corrupt and inept politicians, who only want office to plunder the country of its wealth. Do you really thing Zardari or Nawaz Sharif care about the masses - absolutely not. And how dare N Sharif talk about being the champion of the judiciary, wasn’t he the PM who sacked his the Chief Justice when he was last in power.

I guess the best outcome from this election is if no one party wins outright and that a coalition of all the main parties have to work together. But is that going to happen - not a chance!!!!!

  69. Salma on February 18th, 2008 2:53 pm

According to my research and understanding of past Pakistani elections I feel that the Ppp will come in first. This is purely on the fact that the majority of elections that have taken place in pakistan have been unfair. So therefore it is highly likely that the Ppp will receive sympathy votes over the whole Buttho assasination saga.

  70. ahmed on February 18th, 2008 3:46 pm

nawaz sharif will win because it said that he will free the judusry and free cheff justise iftakar muhammad chudary.

    All -

You got to give credit to Mr. Musharaf, in my 33 years of existence - This is the only politician/head of Pakistan govt. who has done everything that he has promised so far (Put the economy on better path (after previous thieves - Nawaz & Zardari), had one completed term of elected parliament, build on Pakistan’s infrastructure, gave up uniform and now fair, clean election).

I am very impressed of people of Pakistan and voting - I hope, people of Pakistan continue to use their heads and hopefully will not select thieves and idiots like Zardari and Nawaz again - They both are corrupt, thieves and hypocrite.

Zardari talks about killing - Wasn’t he was the guy who was involved in his brother-in-laws murder? Nawaz talks about Judiciary - Wasn’t he was the guy who stormed Supreme Court to get then President moved out of the office? Wasn’t Nawaz the guy - who got so many Pakistani soldiers, killed just to get photo opportunity with Clinton?

It’s too bad that Imran khan as a young generation can’t have his own agenda and ideas for improving Pakistan - Unfortunately the only thing Imran Khan does is talks trash about anyone who is in power (first it was Benazir, then Nawaz and now Musharaf).

If you have served in the army that has a country for it, remember army always follows SOP. In army dictator’s SOP for election is written, “facilitate formation of a hung parliament with two evenly poised big groups and one or two small groups. None of the big groups should be able to form government alone. Use the small group to form government with one of the two bigger groups, if this coalition does not work good, then use the same small group to form government with the second big group”.

LO BAI SHEIKH RASHID TO PAKISTAN CHORE KA BHAG GEYA HA SPAIN MAN LOLZ

    Sheikh Rashid leaves Pakistan

KARACHI, Feb 18: Disgraced and defeated PML-Q leader Sheikh Rashid left Pakistan on Monday night for Spain after he was rejected by the people of Rawalpindi in Monday’s massive anti-PML-Q sweep. The outspoken leader had earlier booked a flight to Dubai from Islamabad but when the story leaked to the media, he cancelled it.

Later, he quietly took a flight to Karachi and then sneaked out of the country, unable to face the humiliation and possibly charges of corruption under a new government of PML-N and PPP leaders. Authorities posted Rangers around the Lal Haveli in Rawalpindi to protect it from the wrath of Pindiites.

Our President Mr.Musharraff is a key to our miseries. He has destroyed the Judiciary, and he is responible in creating divisions in Pakistani Politics, just to prolong his rule. He is playing his Master Voice i.e America, by keeping the Citizens of Pakistan as hostages. If we go back in year 1971 war, the Americans did not support the Pakistan Army Why?
Just because the Americans do not like
Pakistan to be strong Independent State in the would.

Got something to say?
