This is extremely shameful on part of new political leaders (Nawaz and Zardari) to tolerate such actions on previous government leaders. They will be treated more badly as they have been real looters during past. May God help Pakistan and give wisidom to public not to elect people with a bad history.

Whatever happened with these two individuals is wrong and should be condemned. People have a right to voice their anger and protest against such individuals and supporters of dictatorship in this country, but they should not take the law into their own hands under any circumstances. Hooliganism and mob justice will only lead to the defamation of the incoming govt and will matters worse for them.

There are already a lot of problems for the govt to tackle in the form of law and order, poverty, inflation and whole range of other issues which the above-mentioned personalities and their evil master who's still in power left for the new govt.

Moreover, incidents such as these will lead to other violent and unfortunate events such as the one we saw in Karachi on April 9.

It should also not be forgotten at this stage, when the new govt is still going through the process of formation and has yet to take full control in the provinces, that Musharraf's cronies are hell bent on making sure that the present govt does not succeed and will go to any extent to make sure that it is humiliated. It will no doubt use these type of incidents to portray the govt in a bad light and blame it for all violent actions, as they are tirelessly doing through their repeated press conferences.

In my opinion, a more civilized and reasonable approach would be to bring supporters of the dictator and their cronies to book and try them for the crimes that they've committed against the people of this country over the last 5 years and more. It is the responsibility of every sane individual to stay calm at this particular juncture and act in a civilized manner to make sure that we do not add to the already HUGE list of problems that the present govt has inherited. We should not give Musharraf's cronies any excuse to derail the present democratic system.

Already, it is clear for everyone to see that these individuals with the support of certain elements are trying their best to make sure that the govt doesn't succeed or last more than 3 months. Hooligans and the perpetrators of the violence against those two individuals are only playing into the hands of fascist, undemocratic 'political' forces and gangsters and are not doing any good to the movement for the restoration of the judiciary or to democracy.

We must stay calm and try our best to prevent such incidents from taking place, and allow the new govt take its course and solve the issues facing the nation.
